Barry
and Shirley,
Had a lovely week and really enjoyed the fishing apart from the Friday
(the day before we left) but more about that after. We travelled up
from a place about 30 miles East of Bergerac where we also had a superb
week, but decided as it was so hot (32 degrees) to stay on the lake
on the Sunday and Monday as it was also a Bank holiday weekend.
So
Saturday evening was the time to put the rods together and unpack
the boilies I had taken with me ready for a start next morning. Sunday
morning and within 10 minutes of fishing I had a carp in the net and
weighed it at 14lbs and a big common, a truly lovely fish, and during
the day another two were caught along with a few catfish. On the next
day I had another three fish with a big common weighing 15.5lbs and
that was the biggest common for the week even though I caught a couple
more........next
